Made by the same dev as Dirt to Daytona, which may be more arcadey than NR2k3 but still nevertheless much more (hopefully) competent than Eutechnyx turds.

Oh, and proper career mode is back at last it seems.

So happy to see Monster Games back in racing! NASCAR Heat 2002 is my favourite NASCAR game and this looks like it has a good feel to it.

So glad they are not stuck making Nintendo ports any more. I would LOVE a new Test Drive: Eve of Destruction / Driven to Destruction next!

That looks promising. It's a shame it's only Sprint Cup but there's a shortage of good oval racing games that aren't iRacing at the moment so I'll probably check it out if I can.

Steam page is up

With that amount of DLC alone I'm starting to doubt whether Monster Games can save NASCAR games from the last Eutechnyx's absolute trainwrecks.

Initial Steam reviews are really bad for this. Though most are the usual "it's not iRacing" type of reviews from people expecting a hardcore sim. Sounds like there might be some hardware issues though too, so I'm holding off for a while and seeing if there's any patches.

Still, the only general opinion that everyone seems to agree upon is that the game looks dated as hell.

Plus getting your wheels and other fancy expensive peripherals are only a matter of luck. Looks like it's a "just another full game that should've been released as Early Access in the first place" case.

It's something they can fix but bad wheel support is a huge oversight for a racing game on PC. Even Logitech users have reported problems and that's normally the one brand that everything supports.

They'll need to put out a patch pretty quickly. I certainly won't be getting it until I know it works.

This game is actually quite awful, a step back from Nascar 2015. Even if it looks better, it plays a lot worse. Nascar games can be better than this! But this is still not the painful game that was the 09 game.
