Still slower than my C-class time...man, I have some serious cobwebs to shake off.

I've finally created a save file for this game (2.6mb should be a crime), so i's time to get serious

Not that great of a time, but I just thought I'd put one up.

After playing so much BG3 and BG4 this game feels very weird. I'm sure I'll get used to it..

Theory 3'23"8xx, I know CP1 can be at least "3xx faster.

I'm starting to get the hang of the physics, the speed is definitely there and it is a lot easier to initiate and control your drifting. The challenge is hitting the corner at the right angle so you just graze the inside line and have a high exit speed (80+km/h)

You just started playing BG2 and you're already beating our times? With a Dual Shock? Damn son.

So....

gns64 & 3'21"886 & AE86T & MT

After brushing off the cobwebs of not playing for a few months, I made some big improvements. I feel like I'm at the point where without a world-class reference improving my time will be very difficult. according to the internet ranking, the C class WR is 3'17"428 (3'17"677 with AE86). While my run is far from perfect, 4 seconds is a lot to make up. This run was done on my Driving Force GT, which works brilliantly with this game, even if I'm thrashing the hell out of the FFB motor.

Edit: As my times improve, I plan to start recording my runs, the BG2 replay system is pretty useless.

Nice, good show!

I'm guessing that WR time is for the arcade version? The best known time for the PS2 port is 3'18"363 with AE86, this is from Taito's own ranking page. It's possible there are some subtle differences between the arcade original and the PS2 port that account for this. Or maybe just that the best arcade players didn't play the PS2 port.

Looking forward to seeing your runs.

Well...

Franco & 3'17''931 & 86 Mecha & MT

There's nothing much to say, but I'll decide to doing some time attack with the 86 Mecha. Maybe at the next run, I can do the same as for the 86 Trueno and both FC3S and FD3S RX-7.

It could be better, since I need to take the corners and hairpins in a way more aggressive instead of the usual. Anyway, that's was my best time for now.
